A call to the Acton Police Department on July 1 regarding a domestic dispute resulted in the arrest of a local man. Just after 5 p.m., officers were dispatched to Flagg Road for a report of a domestic altercation. After an investigation was completed, John R. Covert, 62, of 2 Flagg Road, was arrested and charged with: <ul><li>Assault and battery;</li><li>Assault and battery on someone 60 years old or older, or disabled. </li></ul> Covert was arraigned at Concord District Court. The arresting officer was Douglas Mahoney.
