MA City Named Top 10 Food City In The World: MA Food Week

MASSACHUSETTS — Welcome to Patch's weekly round-up of food and restaurant news in Massachusetts, where we review openings, closings, and more in the state's dining scene.

This week, we learned that Boston was named among the top 10 cities for food in the world.

Condé Nast Traveler released its top ten Best Places To Eat list for 2026, and Boston clinched the No. 10 spot on the list.

"These are cities, states, and even specific neighbourhoods that have food scenes worth planning your year of travel around," the report reads.

The ranking named Seaport a hub for much of the action, with viral favorites like Lakon Paris Patisserie and Taiyaki NYC.

With new restaurants like Kaia, a Mediterranean favorite in the South End, and popular Italian chain Ci Siamo, opening next year, Boston is breaking out of its traditional mold as a purveyor of steaks and red sauce, according to Condé Nast Traveler.

New cafe is enjoying its first month in Medford

Twisted Tree Cafe is enjoying its first month in Medford. The business’s third location opened at 421 High Street in late November. The menu aims to be healthy with gluten-free, vegetarian, and plant-based options, featuring an array of breakfast sandwiches, soup, salad and sandwiches.
