Acton New Year's Day Baby First To Be Born At Concord Hospital

An Acton family welcomed a baby girl at Emerson Hospital in Concord on New Year’s Day, the hospital’s first baby of the New Year.

Annika Shanley Fuhrmeister was born at Emerson Hospital at 9:19 a.m. on Friday, January 1. She is her family’s first child.

Annika was due on Jan. 3, according to the hospital.

Her parents say they were spending the first day of the New Year painting their basement her mother’s water broke.

Annika weighed in at seven pounds and one ounce.
