A motor vehicle stop by the Acton Police Department on June 26 resulted in the arrest of an Ayer man. At about 5:35 p.m., officers on patrol on Great Road pulled over William P. Calden, 33, of 20 East Main St., for a motor vehicle violation. After the officers completed an investigation, Calden was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Calden was arraigned at Concord District Court on June 27. The arresting officer was Douglas Mahoney.
