Motorist Strikes Tree, Bat Invades House and More From the Acton Police Log

The following was provided by the Acton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

The following was reported by the Acton Police Department on July 17:

  • An officer responded to a Bayberry Road apartment to assist a female tenant into getting inside safely.
  • An officer was dispatched to an Orchard Drive residence to take a fraud report.
  • Officers responded to a Main Street address to help free a woman who was stuck in an elevator.
  • Emergency personnel were dispatched to Taylor Road for a report of an accident with injuries. One vehicle struck a tree and was towed from the scene. One person was transported to a local hospital.
  • An officer was dispatched to Nagog Square to speak with an employee of an area business. The employee reported someone came into the pizzeria and asked if she could call the police. Responding officer reported she wanted help getting in contact with a lawyer due to an eviction notice.
  • A caller reported from Massachusetts Avenue seeing a car that was parked in the middle of a lane in a parking lot. Caller was concerned the operator may have been intoxicated. The operator forgot to engage the parking brake.
  • An officer responded to a Jackson Drive residence to assist with a bat that was inside the house. The officer was unable to locate the bat.
