Suspicious Couple, Houses Struck by Lightning and More From the Acton Police Log
The following information was supplied by the Acton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

The following was reported by the Acton Police Department on May 9:
- Officers were dispatched to Acton Bowladrome for a report of a male and female laying down behind the business. The couple was spoken to and went on their way.
- An officer responded to Spruce Street to speak with an irate parent.
- Emergency personnel responded to Stow Street for a report of a lightning strike on a house. Firefighters opened a wall near a burnt-out appliance from the strike. The wiring inspector was notified. No fire was reported in the wall at 5:17 p.m. NSTAR was notified as power was out on the street.
- Emergency personnel was dispatched to Abel Jones Place for a report of another lightning strike. A house was reportedly filled with smoke because of the strike. There was a burnt-up transformer. Wiring inspector was called to the scene.
- Officers were dispatched to Iris Court for a past domestic issue.
- An officer responded to Pope Road for a report of a dog in the road. Dog was gone when the officer arrived.
