Town Of Acton Announces Winter Weather Closures

ACTON, MA — Acton facilities including Town Hall and the libraries are closed Tuesday due to winter weather, the town announced in a tweet.

The Transfer Station will close at 12 p.m., officials said. The Town Services Hotline and other remote services will remain available and Emergency Services will operate as usual.

Acton is under a winter storm warning in effect until 8 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. A total of 8-12 inches of snow are expected to fall Tuesday with an additional 1-3 overnight.

The National Weather Service is discouraging travel, suggesting that anyone who must do so keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in their vehicle in case of an emergency.
