2nd Floor Of Andover Town Offices Closed For Renovation

Services offered on the second floor will still be available during the temporary closure.

ANDOVER, MA — The second floor of the Andover Town Offices, located at 36 Bartlet Street, is temporarily closed as part of a long-planned renovation project to improve the accessibility and functionality of public spaces within the building. The project is expected to last approximately 10 months.

To ensure uninterrupted service to the community during construction, the following departments have temporarily relocated and operate at full capacity from Old Town Hall:

  • Treasurer’s Office – 978-623-8940
  • Town Clerk’s Office – 978-623-8230
  • Assessor’s Office – 978-623-8930

The Town Clerk’s Office is located on the first floor of Old Town Hall, near the building’s front door, and the Treasurer's Office and Assessor’s Office arebe located on the second floor. The Town’s Legal Department and Human Resources/People Department also temporarily moved to Old Town Hall during an early phase of the Town Offices renovation project, and continue to be located on the first floor of the building.

Old Town Hall is located at 20 Main Street. Parking is available in the adjacent municipal lots behind the building, and along Barnard Street and Park Street. Signage will be posted at both Town Offices and Old Town Hall to assist residents in locating these departments during the project.

Residents are reminded that many transactions can be completed without visiting in person:

  • A secure drop box is available in front of the Town Offices at 36 Bartlet Street for payments and documents. It is checked frequently.
  • Online services are available for bill payments, records requests, and other transactions through the Town’s website at andoverma.gov.
  • Residents may also call the departments listed above directly for assistance.

During the renovation, offices and meeting spaces on the first and third floors of the Town Offices will remain open and fully accessible. Public meetings and day-to-day business will continue as scheduled in those areas.
