5 Things You Need to Know Today, Oct. 16

1. AHS Featured on Chronicle!: New England's popular broadcast news magazine, Chronicle, recently did a a feature on Andover High School's nutrition standards, spotlighting their healthy menu items and, of course, the AHS Garden. 2. Candidates Night: The League of Women Voters of Andover and North Andover is holding a  candidates forum for all of the races in state offices pertaining to the Andovers. The forum will begin at 7 p.m. tomorrow night (Wednesday, Oct. 17) at Memorial Hall Library.

3. Deadline to Register: Remember the deadline to register to vote in November's election is tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 17 (which is also the birthday of a local Patch editor).

4. Curbside Leaf Collection Begins: Curbside leaf collection begins this week (Oct. 15) and will continue through Nov. 30, with the exception of the week of Thanksgiving (11/19 – 11/24). Find more information on the town's website.
