Andover Awarded Grant For Sewer System Evaluation Project
The town was awarded a $148,000 state grant recently to support a comprehensive sewer system evaluation.
ANDOVER, MA — The Town of Andover has been awarded a $148,000 grant through the MassWorks Infrastructure Program. The grant will support a comprehensive sewer system evaluation in the River Road Industrial corridor, according to a statement.
The assessment is intended to prepare the district for future growth. This includes potential new housing in the Multifamily Overlay District, which the town created this year to comply with the state MBTA Communities zoning law.
The grant was secured through an effort by the town’s Planning Division and Department of Public Works. Associate Planner Monica Gregoire attended a grant award ceremony hosted by the Healey-Driscoll administration last week.
