Andover Center For History And Culture Wins $14.7K Grant
Mass Humanities awarded the grant as part of a federal coronavirus relief program.
ANDOVER, MA — The Andover Center for History and Culture won a $14,707 Mass Humanities grant as part of a coronavirus relief grant program, Mass Humanities said Tuesday.
As the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, Mass Humanities made 90 "Sustaining the Humanities through the American Rescue Plan (SHARP)" grants worth almost $1 million to help the cultural sector recover from the pandemic.
"The SHARP grants are another significant step in the journey to sustain the humanities at the local level," said Brian Boyles, the executive director of Mass Humanities. "As we continue to combat COVID-19, these funds will save jobs, build capacity, and allow organizations to develop new programs to serve their communities."
