Central Catholic Places 1st, Shawsheen Tech 2nd, And St. John’s Prep 3rd At History Wrestling Tourney

LOWELL, MA — In a potential preview of the New England Interscholastic Wrestling Championship in March of next year, more than 80 high schools from around the region sent students to compete in more than 1,450 bouts in Lowell, Massachusetts, at the annual 2025 George Bossi Lowell Holiday Tournament at the Tsongas Center.

Hundreds of wrestlers participated in the event, featuring 14 boy brackets and 12 for the girls.

After two days of wrestling, Central Catholic High School of Lawrence, MA, placed first with 268.5 points, while Shawsheen Valley Technical of Billerica, MA, came in second with 221 points, and St. John’s Prep in Danvers, MA, came in third with 182.5 points. Rounding out the Top 5 were Milford, MA, with 159 points and Concord, NH, with 148 points.

Biswar Darji, a junior at Concord High School, won the Mark Donovan Award for most pins in the least amount of time during the tourney.
