Andover Fire Rescue Receives Safety Equipment Grant

The grant comes from the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services​ and the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.

ANDOVER, MA — Andover Fire Rescue has been awarded a Firefighter Safety Equipment Grant for $23,451.31.

The grant comes from the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services and the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.

"This is an investment in the safety of our firefighters and the residents that we serve," Andover Fire Rescue wrote in a Facebook post. "We are proud to serve the Town of Andover."

The grants for fiscal year 2025 to fire departments around the state are intended to help maintain the "excellent level of services that the citizens of the Commonwealth have come to expect," according to a statement from Gov. Maura Healey.
