Andover To Host Earth Day, Arbor Day Events In April
The 3rd annual Earth Day Cleanup event takes place on April 22, while an Arbor Day Celebration is scheduled for April 28.
ANDOVER, MA — Andover has announced details of Earth Day and Arbor Day events this month.
Earth Day is scheduled for April 22, and this year's theme is Invest In Our Planet.
One of the highlights in Andover will be the third annual Earth Day Cleanup event, which is sponsored by the Town of Andover Department of Public Works.

The event, which takes place from 8 a.m. to noon on April 22, allows teams of volunteers to choose a neighborhood or trail to clean up. Signup is available online. Each participant also must complete and sign Andover's Volunteer Waiver Form.
On the day of the event, participants will check in at the Municipal Services Building, located at 5 Campanelli Dr. There, the volunteers can pick up gloves and bags for the cleanup.

Residents are asked to contact the Department of Public Works or to email recycle@andoverma.us with questions or if they need advice about where to focus their cleanup efforts.
Arbor Day
At 10 a.m. on April 28, Andover will host its annual Arbor Day Celebration at 234 Lowell St., across from the Andover Animal Hospital.
The event, which will take place rain or shine, will feature an Arbor Day proclamation and information about trees and the history of Arbor Day. Attendees will receive Ginkgo and Serviceberry seedlings to plant in their yard.
The ceremony will be hosted by Paul Sanborn, Andover's superintendent of forestry, parks and grounds and cemetery.
