Local Thrift Shop Is 'Best Kept Secret In Andover': Best Of 2025

ANDOVER, MA — Every community has its bright spots — the neighbors, businesses and local favorites that make it feel like home. As 2025 comes to a close, Patch and T-Mobile are recognizing the people, places and moments that made this year brighter in Andover through our Best of 2025 series.

How did this person, place or experience make a difference in your life or community this year?

Andover Thrift Shop is perhaps the best kept secret in Andover. They are not your typical thrift shop. It is clean, neat, well organized, and during these difficult times for so many, affordable. Other than management, the people working there are all volunteers — volunteers who absolutely love their jobs.

What would you like everyone in town to know about your nominee?

Providing clothing, housewares, much is brand new, the rest is nearly new, clean and affordable for the members of our community and other communities in the Merrimack Valley.

If you could tell them one thing, what would it be?

Continue doing what you are doing; customers love coming in to shop.

What’s something you love most about your town or community?

I've lived here for 45 years and seen a lot that is good, miss a lot of the shopping we used to have, still see some good things.
