Andover Lands On Hottest ZIP Codes In US List

ANDOVER, MA — Andover is ranked No. 4 in Realtor.com's "Hottest ZIP Codes in America." An Andover home on the market receives 3.3 more views versus properties in the rest of the country.

An Andover home for sale is listed for a median of 19 days with a median listing price of $1,117,000.

"Residents of this year's No. 4 ZIP on the list, Andover, Mass. (01810), a suburb of Boston, can commute to the city in under an hour, and the area also boasts larger homes priced 25% lower per square foot than Boston listings," according to Realtor.com.

The 01810 ZIP code came in just after Ridgewood, NJ at No. 3 and just before Nazareth, PA at No. 5.

Gahanna, OH came in at No. 1 and Southington, CT was No. 2.

The top 10 list were located exclusively in the Midwest and Northeast. Each of the leading ZIP codes is "attracting buyers with homes that are either priced at or below the U.S. median, or are larger in size than the U.S. average."

Homes in those areas received an average of 3.6 more views on each listing than the rest of the country. The homes also sold one month faster than average in 2023.

For the first time in five years, the list included suburbs of large cities like Boston, New York, Chicago, and Detroit. Realtor.com said that this "(marks) a renewed interest in commutable homes as much of the country's workforce returns to in-person work."

Homebuyers are "flocking to areas that are more affordable relative to the rest of the country, less expensive than their nearby metro area, or provide better value, offering more space at a lower price."
