Andover Mail-Order Pharmacy Reports Data Breach Affecting 75K

The Injured Workers Pharmacy had an email account breach from January to May 2021.

ANDOVER, MA — The Andover-based Injured Workers Pharmacy suffered a data breach last year affecting over 75,000 customers, the mail-order pharmacy said in notifications to multiple states over the last week.

Someone accessed seven Injured Worker Pharmacy email accounts between Jan. 16 and May 12, 2021, the company said in its notification to the Maine government. With that access, private information on customers including names, addresses and Social Security numbers may have been accessed, the pharmacy said.

The pharmacy first learned of suspicious activity on May 11, 2021 and launched a review that was completed on Dec. 14.
