Back by popular demand for a third season, The Velveteen Rabbit is a captivating and entertaining story about the strength and power of a young boy’s imagination and love.
A 7th grader at Dell'Anno has performed in several plays in school including; “Alice in Wonderland” and “Gulliver’s Travels.” She has also
appeared with Children’s Stage Adventures in “Excalibur,” “The Princess and the Pea,” and “Midsummer’s Night Dream.”
Based on the enchanting novel by Margaret Williams about a boy and his stuffed rabbit’s quest to be real, The Velveteen Rabbit was adapted for the stage by BCT
Executive Artistic Director Burgess Clark. BCT’s production features original puppets designed by Marjorie Tudor of the Tasha Tudor Family combined with live actors to create a magical experience for people of all ages.

“The response to this production has been overwhelming,” Clark said. “Children are particularly enthralled by the puppets interacting with the young actors on stage. It’s a wonderful experience for parents, grandparents and children to share with each other. For many families, The Velveteen Rabbit has become a holiday tradition.”
The play will be performed at the Roberts Theatre at the Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont Street, Boston, on Saturdays and Sundays
December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18. All performances are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by visiting the BCT website at www.bostonchildrenstheatre.org or by calling the BCT Box Office at 617-424-6634, x222. School groups can also reserve
