The lot, at the southeast corner of Bartlet Street and Park Street, is closed as part of the Downtown Parking Improvement Project.

ANDOVER, MA — The Town of Andover has announced that Parking Lot #2, located at the southeast corner of Bartlet Street and Park Street, will be closed through the month of April due to Downtown Parking Improvement Project construction.
Though the construction project is scheduled to continue through the summer, the work to Lot #2, which is adjacent to 63 Park St., is expected to be completed this month.
"Disruptions to parking availability in (Lot #2) are expected to be minimal through the remainder of the project," Andover officials said in a statement.

During the Lot #2 closure, officials said, additional handicapped parking spaces will be designated along Bartlet Street, and there will be a 15-minute loading zone, which will allow for access to businesses near Lot #2.
Parking will remain available in Lot #1, which is located directly behind Old Town Hall, in the Main Street Lot, located at 89 Main St., and on streets throughout Downtown Andover.

The Downtown Parking Improvement project began last year and is intended to enhance the municipal surface lots located behind Old Town Hall, officials said.
During the project, the municipal parking lots behind Old Town Hall will be reconfigured in order to better accommodate pedestrian and vehicle flow and improve drainage structures.
Additionally, the plan will create a central gathering space behind Old Town Hall, which can be used for outdoor dining, live performances and other community programming.
