Andover Releases Info On Disposing Of Old Trash, Recycling Bins
The town's automated trash collection system is now in effect, and the town has provided information on disposal of old containers.
ANDOVER, MA — With automated trash and recycling collection now in effect, the Town of Andover is offering residents several options for managing old trash and recycling bins.
- Designated Drop-Off Location: Old bins can be dropped off for recycling at the Town’s designated drop-off site, located in the driveway of 5 Campanelli Drive. The site is now open daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and directional signs are posted to guide vehicles to the drop-off area.
- Curbside Collection: Residents may also place old bins at the curb to be collected by Republic Services as a bulky item on their assigned collection day, limited to one receptacle per household per week.
- Resuse for Yard Waste: Old receptacles can also be reused for seasonal yard waste collection. While stickers are not required, optional yard waste stickers are available at the Town Manager's Office, the Town Clerk’s Office at Old Town Hall, and at 5 Campanelli Drive. Yard waste collection is offered 12 weeks per year (six weeks in the spring and six weeks in the fall), and containers should only be placed at the curb during those times.
