Andover's Jay Leno to be Replaced on 'The Tonight Show'

The Andover native and world-famous late show host Jay Leno will be leaving the Tonight Show, according to NBC.

After a long run in one of the most notable positions that a comedian can hold, Andover native Jay Leno is being replaced on NBC's "The Tonight Show," according to an article in the Eagle Tribune.

According to NBC, Leno is being replaced by Jimmy Fallon in order to reach a younger audience.

When asked what Jay Leno should do now, one Andover student feels he should reconnect with his roots.

”I think he should come back to Andover and so some charitable stand-up comedy. I hope to see him around town,” Andover High School junior Mimi Olney said.

Leno moved to Andover in the 1950s while a child and grew up in town, going to Andover High School and working at McDonald's.
