Andover Schools Closed Monday

The Andover school superintendent Marinel McGrath sent out a message to the Andover Public Schools community earlier this afternoon about the cancellation of school Mondy due to the snow storm yesterday.

McGrath said that the "massive power outages" led the school administrators to make the decision as well as all of the downed wires and trees. National Grid is reporting roughly in Andover.

This is also includes the cancellation of all after school and evening activities, and athletic games and practices.

Here is the verbatim message posted on the school's website:

Good afternoon Andover staff and families. This is Supt. Marinel McGrath with an Alert Now message. It is 4:15 pm, on Sunday, October 30th and I am calling to notify you that ALL Andover schools and offices will be closed tomorrow, Monday, October 31st due to the massive power outages and downed trees and wires. All afterschool and evening activities, including athletics, are also canceled. Once again, school is closed tomorrow, Monday, October 31st. Thank you and good evening.
