Andover Water Main Replacement Happening For Approximately 7 Months
The project may force minor adjustments to driving patterns, lead to periodic water shutdowns and cause discolored water near work areas.
ANDOVER, MA — The Town of Andover has announced that water main replacement will be taking place throughout the town for approximately seven months.
According to Andover officials, the town's general contractor will be working on the project from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday through Friday while construction lasts.
Officials said that during construction, there will be some adjustments to neighborhood driving patterns, and there may be detours and delays.

"However, every effort will be made to minimize this inconvenience," Andover officials said in a statement. "Emergency vehicles will not be prevented from responding to calls."
Additionally, periodic water shutdowns will occur during the construction, and there is the potential for discolored water resulting from the water main work, officials said.

Residents are asked to report discolored water to the Andover Water Division at MSDiscoloredWater@andoverma.us, or by calling 978-623-8707 and leaving a message.
The streets included in the water main replacement project are:
- Essex Street (Railroad St to Red Spring Road)
- South Main St at Rocky Hill Road
- Rocky Hill Road (South Main Street to Black Horse Lane)
- Beech Circle (Shawsheen Road to the end)
- Gray Road (#34 to Korinthian Way)
- Delphi Circle (Korinthian Way to the end)
- Athena Circle (Korinthian Way to the end)
- Korinthian Way (Athena Circle to Gray Road)
- Olympia Way (Korinthian Way to the end)
- Lincoln Street (Lowell Street to Cyr Circle)
