Attempted Car-Jacker Flees Scene on Prospect Road

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Thursday, April 4

At 8:06 a.m. an officer reported that a stop sign was knocked down on Brundrett Avenue. The Public Works Department was notified.

At 8:20 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Bartlet Street. A tow truck was needed for one vehicle.

At 5:14 p.m. police arrested Robert F. Barberio, 38, of 25 Columbus St., Manchester, N.H., on Beacon Street. Barberio was charged with a red light violation and the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

At 7:48 p.m. a walk-in visitor reported identity fraud on Colonial Drive.

At 9:45 p.m. police arrested Frank Howard MacMillan, 55, of 24 R Pomeroy Road, on Pomeroy Road. MacMillan was charged with assault and battery on a household member and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Friday, April 5

At 7:18 a.m. police arrested Jeremias M. Dominguez, 153 Beacon Ave., Apt. 11, Lawrence, on Old River Road. Dominguez was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.

At 11:36 a.m. a caller reported his motorcycle was stolen sometime during the past week or so on Ellsworth Road.

At 1:26 p.m. the Andover Police assisted the State Police with a warrant service at Chestnut Street for a resident charged with trafficking cocaine.

At 2:53 p.m. a resident reported that a turkey was hit by a motor vehicle on Porter Road. The turkey had fled by the time the animal control officer arrived.

At 5:11 p.m. a walk-in visitor reported the theft of laptops through the mail on Grandview Terrace.

At 5:53 p.m. a caller reported a two-car accident with no injuries on Main Street.

At 9:25 p.m. a caller reported that someone tried to break-in to her father's car while he was in it on Prospect Road. However, the would-be carjacker noticed that someone was in the vehicle as he opened the door and then ran down the street. Police could not locate the individual.
