Bank Accidentally Triggers 'Hold-Up' Alarm

The police logs for Tuesday, March 29, contained several incidents and three arrests.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Tuesday, March 29

At 8:20 a.m. police arrested Frederick Ferullo, 30, of 34 South Kimball St., Bradford, on South Main Street. Ferullo was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license – second offense, a revoked registration, license revoked for OUI conviction and an uninsured motor vehicle.

At 11:31 a.m. a caller reported a two-car motor vehicle accident on Elm Street. One operator had facial injuries.

At 11:46 p.m. a caller reported that the in Shawsheen Plaza gave him a fake $100 bill. An officer responded and eventually reported that the fake bill appeared to be a mistake on behalf of the bank.

At 1:25 p.m. police arrested Matthew B. Foresta, 27, of 386 Summer St., Lynn, on South Main Street. Foresta was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

At 2:19 p.m. a Woburn Street resident said that her motor vehicle was vandalized on Woburn Street. An officer filed the incident.

At 2:49 p.m. police arrested Arturo I. Reyes, 28, of 159 Union St., Lawrence, on North Main Street. Reyes was charged with the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

At 3:11 p.m. a school bus driver came upon wires in the road on Bradley Road and contacted police. The bus driver was advised that the wire was only a cable wire and could be driven over.

At 4:25 p.m. police received an alarm from a bank on North Main Street indicating that “teller number five” at the bank was being held up. An officer reported that the alarm activation was accidental.
