Andover Police Searching for Armed Robber

Police searching for a man who robbed North Main Street Mobil gas station.

ANDOVER-- The Andover Police Department is searching for a man involved in an armed robbery at a North Main Street gas station early Monday morning, according to Police Chief Patrick Keefe.

At 1:27 a.m., Andover Police received a report of an armed robbery at the Mobil gas station, 14 North Main St. Upon arrival, officers learned from the overnight clerk that a white man, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, who looked to be in his late 20s, entered the store holding a handgun and demanding money.

The suspect then fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash and entered a dark colored sedan.

At the time of the robbery, he was described as wearing dark clothing and a scarf that covered his face.
