Car Collides with Tree on Wildwood Road

The police logs for Monday, May 1, contained one arrest and several small incidents.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

At 8:04 a.m. a past case of a disorderly person at the was reported on Elm Square. An officer filed the incident.

At 9:34 a.m. a caller reported a man pushing a shopping cart dumped trash on the caller’s lawn on Maple Avenue. Police searched the area with negative results.

At 10:59 a.m. a caller reported a 23-year-old male that cut his finger on a grinding wheel at his residence on Greenwood Road.

At 11:25 a.m. a caller requested assistance from police regarding a squirrel that was in one of the rooms of her house.

At 4 p.m. a caller reported a black lab loose in the area of Rocky Hill Road.

At 4:10 p.m. a Haverhill resident reported that he was riding his bicycle down Elm Street when a black SUV ran him off the road. He reported two college-age males were in the vehicle. An officer caught up with the vehicle and spoke with the occupants.

At 4:22 p.m. an Avon Street resident reported that his car was broken into overnight.

At 6:47 p.m. police arrested William J. Sarsfield, 60, of 75 School St., on School Street. Sarsfield was charged with operating under the influence of liquor.

At 9:35 p.m. a caller reported a car that hit a tree on Wildwood Road. No injuries were reported.
