Confetti Bombs Reported by Two Homeowners

The police logs for Monday, July 11, contained two arrests and several small incidents.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

At 2:10 a.m. police arrested Grant C. Brewer, 24, 150 Jackson St., Methuen, on North Main Street. Brewer was charged with breaking and entering for a misdemeanor and malicious damage to a motor vehicle.

At 6:11 a.m. a resident on Bulfinch Drive reported his motor vehicle was stolen sometime overnight. An officer filed the incident and entered the vehicle in database for stolen vehicles.

At 12:33 p.m. a caller reported a one-car motor vehicle accident on Winterberry Lane. No injuries were reported.

At 1:07 p.m. a low-hanging wire was reported on Maple Avenue.

At 4:37 p.m. a caller reported a crow that was stuck in the batting net next to the Collins Center at . An officer spoke to a baseball coach, who knew nothing about it.

At 5:12 p.m. a caller reported a two-car accident with no injuries on North Street.

At 9:14 p.m. a caller reported fireworks on Locke Street. An detective spoke with the mother at the home.

At 10:21 p.m. police arrested Juan Mejia, 19, 9 West Gile St., Haverhill, on Frontage Road. Mejia was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

At 10:18 a.m. a caller reported that someone through a “confetti bomb” on her lawn and spread confetti “everywhere.” Several minutes later, a caller on Holt Road had a similar complaint and requested extra checks of the area.
