Details Released On National Drug Takeback Day In Andover
The upcoming event provides the public with a chance to easily dispose of expired and unused medications.
ANDOVER, MA — The Andover Police Department is participating in National Drug Takeback Day.
The event is Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at West Middle School. The nationwide effort is sponsored by the federal Drug Enforcement Agency.
"This is your chance to clean out your cabinets of unused or expired medications," police wrote. "Drop off your drugs and we will dispose of them for you, free of charge! However, we CANNOT accept any needles (including autoinjectors) but we do have a needle drop-off box in the lobby of the Andover Public Safety Building."
