Drone Presentation at Andover School of Montessori

The Andover Police Department’s Drone Unit visited with Andover School of Montessori's Upper Elementary students to enhance their study of robotics in STEM class. This marked the first time the department’s Drone Unit presented at a school.

Officer Steven Gerroir, head of the Drone Unit, provided a comprehensive lesson on the history and variations of drones, their benefits and limitations, and real-world applications. Students observed a live demonstration as the drone navigated through ASM’s hallways and soared above the campus. Students also had an opportunity to explore the technology utilized to maneuver the drone, gaining a deeper insight into its operation.
