When/Where: Friday, May 6, 7 p.m. at Andover High School.
Why Go: Come watch the boys lacrosse team take on Chelmsford and hopefully improve their already impressive record for the season.
Cost: Varies between $5 and $10
When/Where: Friday, May 6, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Essex Art Center, 56 Island Street, Lawrence.
Why Go: Sample a variety of art, wine, beer and food at the Essex Art Center in Lawrence this week during the 7th annual running of the Hair of The Dog benefit event. All proceeds go toward the MSPCA at Nevins Farm in Methuen.
Cost: $25 in advance, $30 at the door
When/Where: Friday, May 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., at the Andover Country Club, 60 Canterbury St., Andover.
Why Go: Help Family Service, Inc. will be holding a dinner-dance at the Andover Country Club with WCVBs Randy Price as emcee.
Cost: $100 per ticket
When/Where: Friday, May 6, 7:30 p.m., Collins Center, Andover High School.
Almost, Maine: Take a ride down to the Andover High School Collins Center for an Andover High School Drama Guild production of “Almost, Maine,” a “delightful” story about couples in a fictitious town that fall in and out of love in hilarious ways.
Cost: $10 per ticket
