It’s Friday and we’ve got some ideas to help you plan a fun weekend but, at the same time, stay local. From kids parties, to free fitness classes to yard sales, we are showcasing some enriching experiences this weekend for Andover Patch readers.

Where/When: Friday, June 3 at 6 p.m. at Andover SHED, 65 Phillips Street, Andover
Why Go: Ages 5 to 12 are invited to come and enjoy a night of pizza and strategy. Play chess and have fun with the SHED Chess instructor. Please call 978-623-8462 to reserve your spot.

Where/When: Saturday, June 4, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Pinnacle Crossing, Andover (Across from Pinnacle Street).
Why Go: Ten condo units are participating in this yard sale and will be selling various goods this Saturday during a large yard sale at Pinnacle Crossing. The rain date is on Sunday, June 5.
Pricing: Free.

Where/When: Saturday, June 4 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Art270 at the Washington Mill Lofts, 270 Canal St, Lawrence.
Why Go: Andover resident Jennifer Casey will be featured at this free exhibit surrounding theme of art made from reused and recycled material. Refreshments will be served an RSVPs will be taken for catoring purpsoses. RSVP here: Jennifer159@me.com.

Where/When: Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the West Middle School, Shawsheen Road, Andover.
Why Go: Get rid of your TVs, monitors and other cathode ray tubes at a special waste collection day tomorrow at the West Middle School.
Pricing: $5 to $40, depending on the TV or monitor.
