Check out five things to do in Andover this weekend.

It’s Friday and we’ve got some ideas to help you plan a fun weekend but, at the same time, stay local. From a community shredding to a football game, we are showcasing some enriching experiences this weekend for Andover Patch readers.

Why Go: Join the fans of the Golden Warriors while the take on the Methuen varsity football team tonight at 7 p.m.

Where/When: Friday, Oct. 22, 9 a.m., Memorial Hall Library.

Why Go: Take all of your unneeded documents and bring them down to Memorial Hall Library where they will have a shredding truck. The event starts at 9 a.m. until noon, or until the truck is full.

Where/When: Sunday, Oct. 23, 4 p.m. Temple Emanuel, 

Why Go: The Yiddish Community Chorus will perform at Temple Emanuel today at 4 p.m. in order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the fire that trapped and killed over 140 women and girls.  

Pricing: $30

3. BEWITCHED IN ANDOVER: WITCH’S HOUSE

Where/When: Saturday, Oct. 22, 1 p.m., Benjamin Abbot Home, 3 Andover Street.

Why Go: Take a tour of the “Witches House” this is the home of the accuser of a alleged witch in Andover. Tours begin at 1 p.m. and start on the hour and half hour. The last tour is at 3:30 p.m.

5. THE FLIP BAND

When and Where: Friday, Oct. 21, 9 p.m., Palmers, Elm Street.

Why Go: Come stop by Palmers and check out the sounds of the Flip Band.
