9/11 Ceremony: The Town of Andover has planned a 9/11 memorial ceremony to be held on 9/9 outside the town offices. The ceremony will dedicate the plaque recently made to honor and remember the four Andover victims that died in the attacks. Find out more here.

Pomps Pond Closed: The Department of Community Services closed Pomps Pond for the season this past Sunday, Aug. 14.

Gas Prices: Here are some of the lowest unleaded gas prices according to motortrend.com: , Salem Street and Route 125, $3.65; the – $3.67/gallon; , 205 North Main Street –$3.69/gallon.

Weather: Today will bring a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms with a high temperature of 84 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will also bring a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms with a low temperature of 66 degrees.
