Girls Hoops Game Day: Andover (25-0) Vs. Bishop Feehan (20-4)

At 7:30 p.m. Friday in Lowell, the Warriors will look to win a 6th state championship. Here is what you should know ahead of the game.

LOWELL, MA — Here is what you should know if you are heading to watch the Andover High School girls basketball team play for a state championship Friday night.

What: MIAA Division 1 girls state championship game between the Andover High School Golden Warriors (25-0) and the Bishop Feehan (Attleboro) High School Shamrocks (20-4).

Game Time/Location: 7:30 p.m. at the Tsongas Center, located at 300 Arcand Dr. in Lowell.

Tickets: Available on the Tsongas Center website. Tickets are $16, general admission, and are good for the girls game and the Division 2 boys contest between Malden Catholic and Mansfield, which begins at 5:30 p.m.. Tickets cannot be purchased on GoFan.

Andover state championship history: The Golden Warriors have won five state championships: 2003, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2020. However, in 2020, Andover was named Division I co-state champions with Franklin, after the state title game was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2022, Andover fell 43-40 to Springfield Central in the title game.

How these teams got here: The Warriors had a 61-57 comeback win over Wachusett Regional on Monday in Woburn. Bishop Feehan defeated Woburn 53-47 Monday in Newton.

Players to Watch: Andover: senior forward Anna Foley (16.2 ppg) has committed to play collegiately at Quinnipiac, while senior guard Ameila Hanscom (12.8 ppg) will play at Colby College. Bishop Feehan: senior guard Samantha Reale, who has committed to play at Babson, and sophomore sharpshooter Madelyn Steel.

Previous meeting this season: Andover defeated Bishop Feehan 46-42 on Feb. 18 at the Comcast Tournament in Woburn.
