On Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27, the Habitat ReStore in Lawrence will be holding its biggest sale of the year - the Soak up the Savings Sale. Shoppers who visit between 10am and 5pm, will get up to 75% off everything* in the store.
The store, which is open to the public, sells and accepts donations of new or gently used furniture, appliances, cabinets, building materials, and housewares. All proceeds from sales of donated merchandise directly support Essex County Habitat for Humanity’s mission of providing affordable housing throughout Essex County. Additionally it provides the community with an affordable way to outfit their homes and do construction or DIY projects on a budget.
ReStore Director Jim Kapelson explains “We have such a unique selection here – not only compared to other thrift shops, but also compared to many of the other area ReStores. We have aisles full of doors and windows, a wall of random lumber, full sets of cabinets, a huge selection of lighting. What makes it fun, is you never know what you’ll find here from day to day. We might get in 4 like-new washing machines on a Tuesday and they’ll be gone by Wednesday!”
