Hit-and-Run Driver Reportedly Struck Hydrant

The police log for Wednesday, April 27, contained one arrest and several small incidents.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

At 7:12 a.m. an security officer reported that a hydrant was struck sometime overnight in front of the building.

At 7:34 a.m. an alarm system company informed police that a hold-up alarm went off at a bank on North Main Street. The alarm activation was accidental by the employee.

At 9:05 a.m. a caller reported that someone had broken into his truck overnight and stolen some of his tools. The driver, from New Hampshire, was parked on Wild Rose Road.

At 4:03 p.m. police arrested Lisa Lawrie, 45, 63 Kingston St., Apt. 1, Lawrence, on North Main Street. Lawrie was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license for a drunk driving conviction.

At 8:22 p.m. a caller reported a man on North Main Street drinking beer out of a bag. Police found the man, but he had nothing in his hands.

At 9:13 p.m.  police reported a breaking and entering into a motor vehicle in the parking lot of the hockey rink at .
