Home Sales Drop In Andover, Reflecting Statewide Trend

ANDOVER, MA — Home sales in Andover were down last year, reflecting conditions across the state, according to a study from The Warren Group.

In 2023, sales in Andover were down 22.5 percent. In 2022, 324 single-family homes were sold, but in 2023, only 251 homes were sold.

The median sale price of a single-family home went down slightly by 1.9 percent, from $795,000 to $780,000, according to the Warren Group.

This bucked the trend across the state as prices increased last year.

Meanwhile, single-family homes dropped to a 12-year low in 2023. Limited inventory combined with high prices and high interest rates all combined to make a tough real estate market for buyers.
