For several years my child attended Andover's DCS camp @ South School/Pomps Pond. She loved it. The staff are mostly home grown, primarily young adults, along with some older teens. They keep the focus on the children and having fun. Swimming, classroom time, cards, sailing, canoes and the first swim to the raft. Simply New England.
This year is her second year as a counselor. She still loves DCS summer camps, especially field trip days. Nice to see her still enjoying summer camps but now it pays.
She will also be playing on a softball travel team, and working or volunteering @ various sports clinics. Beach or day trips, picnics, concerts @ local parks, sleepovers, BBQ and summer naps. Simple joys.
