Man Accidentally Fires Gun While Cleaning on Marland Street

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Tuesday, April 9 

At 10:39 a.m. a caller reported that he was cleaning his firearm when it accidentally discharged on Marland Street. There were no injuries and the man did have a license for the firearm.

At 11:40 a.m. a caller reported that his foot was run over by a car tire on North Main Street. No ambluance was called. 

At 11:55 a.m. a caller reported that someone broke into her home on Buttonwood Drive sometime between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. A detective stopped by the home and took photos.

At 4:53 p.m. police arrested Jane E. Osinski, of 6 Trumpeters Lane, on Ivana Drive. The arrest followed a domestic dispute but no charges were available as of deadline. 

At 9:22 p.m. a caller reported that her cell phone was stolen on Park Street. 

Wednesday, April 10

At 2:31 a.m. police arrested Anand Sridhar, 25, of 75 Rattlesnake Hill Road. Sridhar was charged with assault and battery on a household member. 

At 10:36 a.m. a caller reported that her front door was vandalized over the weekend on Lowell Street. 

At 12:15 p.m. Phillips Academy security reported some BBs that were shot through a window at the private school off Salem Street. 

At 3:08 p.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident involving a car and a  motorcycle on Haverhill Street. Injuries were reported in the accident.
