Man Pulls Firearm in Road Rage Incident With Plow Truck Driver
A local man followed the plow driver into the North Main Street parking lot. The two had a verbal altercation that escalated.

ANDOVER, MA - Police Chief Patrick Keefe reported on Tuesday night that Andover Police arrested a man and will summons another after a road rage incident occurred on Tuesday morning in a parking lot on North Main Street.
Police arrested Michael McCullom, 51, of Andover. He is charged with assault and battery, and assault with a dangerous weapon (firearm), according to police.
A North Andover man, 51, will be summonsed to Lawrence District Court for assault and battery and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., dispatch received a call from a resident of Poor Street who reported that a physical altercation was taking place at the 354 North Main St. parking lot.
Officers arrived and witnessed two men yelling at each other.

McCullom was driving on Lowell Street and attempting to turn onto North Main Street. At the same time, the other man was operating a snow plow traveling in the opposite direction, and he also attempted to turn onto North Main Street. The two nearly crashed into each other.
McCullom then followed the plow driver into the North Main Street parking lot and the two had a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical altercation. McCullom pulled out an unloaded firearm, according to police.
McCullom was arrested on the spot.
“We understand that these road conditions can be very frustrating for drivers, but this type of behavior is never acceptable,” Chief Keefe said in a statement. “Please be patient while driving and be sure to leave extra time so you can safely arrive at your destination.”
McCullom was arraigned in Lawrence District Court, and he is scheduled to have a dangerousness hearing on Thursday Dec. 31.
Police did not identify the plow truck driver.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
