The following is an excerpt from the Andover Police log:
Friday, Nov. 11
- At 3 p.m. police responded to Stowe Ct. for a man laying on the ground with blood on his arms and hands. Police did not locate the man.
- At 3:19 p.m. police responded to River Road for a suspicious car. The car turned out to be the homeowner’s son.
- Squatters were reported in the woods off Andover Street at 3:34 p.m. Police moved the person along.
- An Apache Ave. resident reported a suspicious person looking in the bushes on his property. Police found it was a man who was going to pressure wash the home.
- A person driving a car on Lowell Street hit a deer at 7:17 p.m.
- Police arrested Phylis Cardillo, 54, 2 Archstone Lane, Reading, after a crash on Elm Street. After the crash, police said the person left the scene. Cardillo was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, and leaving the scene of property damage.
- Police issued a summons to a Sommerville man on charges of driving after suspension and driving an unregistered vehicle at 11:17 p.m. on River Road.

- Police assisted the State Police in a search for a female prisoner at 12 a.m. on Route 125.
- At 2:29 a.m. police arrested Danielle M. Laspina, 22, 1082 Main St., Reading, and charged her with driving while under the influence of alcohol.
- A resident of Bartlet Street reported to police she believed someone was in her home at 3:47 a.m. Police searched the home and didn’t find anyone.
- At 9:59 a.m. police received a report of a SUV almost striking a pedestrian on Main Street.
- At 12 p.m. an employee of reported a woman aged 50-60 had shoplifted from the store and he was holding her until police arrived. The woman had left once police arrived.
- At 5:21 p.m. a resident told police a group of kids parked their car near the basketball court on Beacon Street and walked into the woods with flashlights. Police found the group and found out it was a father and his children walking in the woods.
- George Silva, 28, 31 Shawsheen Rd., was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace at 10:48 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 13
- A resident of Marie Dr., reported someone stole wood from her property at 11:37 a.m.
- Motorists reported a mattress and refrigerator in the middle and right lanes of Rt. 495 at 4:44 p.m.
- A motorist reported to police she struck a deer on Lowell Street at 8:07 p.m.
