Merrimack Valley A Cappella To Present First Big Live Show Since 2019
The Andover-based group, previously based in Wilmington, presents "Falling in Love with Barbershop" on Nov. 13 at Andover's Temple Emanuel.

ANDOVER, MA — Merrimack Valley A Cappella, the Andover-based singing group that used to be in Wilmington, will perform its first big live show since 2019 next month when it presents "Falling in Love with Barbershop."
The show is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Nov. 13 at Temple Emanuel, located at 7 Haggetts Pond Road in Andover. Tickets are $15 in advance and can be purchased from MVA members or online. Tickets are $18 at the door and children under the age of 6 are free.
The show will feature two hours of a cappella singing in the barbershop style and will feature several modern songs from films and other songs "with a fun twist."

The chorus will perform three different sets of songs. Then, five quartets, which feature members of the chorus, will take turns on the stage. The names of the quartets are: The Derry Aires, Paradigm, Carried Away, Rhythm Method and Illuminate.
"Our show is an afternoon of wonderful music with a warm atmosphere and lots of fun," Kate Roberts, the show chair, told Patch. "It's our first big performance since 2019 and we're so excited to sing for a live audience."

Merrimack Valley A Cappella, which was previously known as Merrimack Valley Chorus, is an award-winning chorus that performs throughout greater Boston and southern New Hampshire.
The group is a member of Sweet Adelines International, the largest nonprofit women's singing association in the world.
