Mulch Fire Contained on River Road

The police logs for Monday, June 20, contained one arrest and several small incidents.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

At 10:07 a.m. a caller reported illegal dumping on North Main Street.

At 11:29 a.m. police arrested Grant Brewer, 24, of 150 Jackson St., Methuen, on Post Office Avenue. Brewer was charged with the contribution to delinquency of a child and selling or delivering liquor to a person under 21.

At 11:53 a.m. a Pinecrest Road resident reported a scam that involved a person visiting the resident’s house to deliver a briefcase of money.

At 1:25 p.m. a caller reported that her car was broken into on Saturday on Arthur Road. She reported some change missing from the vehicle.

At 2:40 a.m. the town electrician responded to a report of broken traffic lights at the intersection of Haverhill Street and High Street. The electrician believes that the lights were hit by a truck or other large vehicle.

At 5:29 p.m. a caller reported a car accident on Dartmouth Road. No injuries were reported.

At 7:39 p.m. a possible mulch fire was reported on River Road. reported shortly after that the fire, believed to be started by electrical equipment, was contained.
