Naked Man Reported on Bailey Road

The following are excerpts from the log. The log is open to the public.

Friday, Sept. 9

  • At 8:28 a.m. an injured hawk was reported on South Main Street.
  • At 8:53 a.m. a caller reported a breaking and entering into a motor vehicle on Odyssey Way. He said that it happened around 4:30 a.m.
  • At 3:07 p.m. a two-car motor vehicle accident was reported on North Main Street. No injuries were reported.
  • At 10:06 p.m. Lawrence General Hospital reported that a dog on Argilla Road bit an 11-year-old boy. The animal control officer was notified.

Saturday, Sept. 10

  • At 5:32 a.m. a resident reported a naked man walking in the middle of the roadway on Bailey Road. Officers could not locate the man.
  • At 10:18 a.m. a caller reported that a dog on Elm Street bit his wife.
  • At 2:12 p.m. a caller reported that her car was vandalized overnight on Stratford Road.
  • At 6:54 p.m. a caller reported that he was involved with a two-car motor vehicle accident on Interstate 93 southbound. No injuries were reported.
  • At 10:16 p.m. a caller reported several kids trying to break into an abandoned building. The kids claimed they were just walking around it and never entered.

Sunday, Sept. 11

  • At 4:12 a.m. police arrested Michael P. Szwaja, 21, of 111 Longview Road, New Bedford, on Foxhill Road. Szwaja was charged with procuring liquor for a person under 21 and disorderly conduct.
  • At 4:37 a.m. police arrested Niles J. Mello, 19, of 161 State St., New Bedford, on Foxhill Road. Police charged Mello with possession of liquor and disorderly conduct.
  • At 11:06 a.m. a walk-in visitor reported employees from a moving company who she claimed stole cash and a gift card from her home.
  • At 4:01 p.m. a walk-in visitor reported finding a wallet on Dascomb Road.
  • At 5:20 p.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Central Street.
