No Suspects in Fatal Double Shooting, Says Police Chief

Andover Police Chief Brian Pattullo called shooting an isolated act.

Chief Brian Pattullo said the of John and Geraldine Magee at 7 Orchard Crossing was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.

During a press conference Wednesday afternoon, Pattulo said there are no suspects at this time and the couple’s 2008 Lexus was found burned on Prince Street in the North End Tuesday night.

Police were called to the Orchard Crossing home at 9:18 a.m. Wednesday after the couple’s daughter found them dead in the first floor of their home.

The chief declined comment on whether there was a struggle during the murders. He added there was not history of violence at the address.

Pattullo said he may have more information on Thursday.

John, 69, and Geraldine, 67, operated Advance Realty Co., out of their home. The couple developed the Orchard Crossing neighborhood.

They also owned Magee Construction Company in Arlington, according to the Boston Business Journal.
