UPDATE: Over 12,000 in Andover Without Power

National Grid is reporting 12,000-plus power outages in Andover.

This Halloween whiteout has taken an extreme toll on the residents of Andover as over 90 percent of the town is without power, according to National Grid.

National Grid is providing customers with an update on power outages on their website. Check back for new estimates on power restoration.

National Grid is currently assessing conditions and does not yet have a specific time frame for power restoration.

"We don't have estimates on when power will be restored," said Graves. "But we have internal crews on scene, as well as private crews. And we have additional crews coming in from the midwest, Ohio and Michigan, as well as North Carolina, to help."

Specifically, 12,257 customers are without power out of the total 13,447 customers in Andover.

Andover police say that there were no major accidents or incidents throughout town during the storm other than power outages, down trees and road blocks. Police say that there has not yet been a need to set up a local shelter for residents without power.

National Grid employees and public works staff are currently working to clear all down trees and other debris blocking roads. However, all road blocks on main roads throughout town have been cleared as of noon Sunday. Contact at 978-475-0411.
