Police Search for Drunk Man Lost in the Woods

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.
Saturday, Nov. 24
At 2:25 a.m. an officer reports that she is off with two subjects walking on Ballardvale Road. One of the individuals reported that an intoxicated man had been with them but had just ran off into the woods and they didn't know where he went. Several officers were dispatched to located him, who was eventaully found on Arcadia Road.

At 1:22 p.m. a caller reported a large tree branch that fell across the roadway in the area of Route 125 and Wildwood Road. An officer located the branch and moved it.
At 2:55 p.m. an employee at the Chateau Restaurant reported that two patrons' cars were broken into while they were dining at the River Road establishment. Nothing was taken from the vehicles.

At 4:42 p.m. two separate callers reported the same motor vehicle that was driving recklessly on Main Street. An officer located the vehicle and arrested the operator. Police arrested Sarah Wendell, 57, of 1380 St. Apt. 215B, Brockton, on South Main Street. Wendell was charged with operating under the influence of liquor and a marked lanes violation.
At 7:03 p.m. a caller reported that somone broke into his motor vehicle the previous night on Tessier Drive.
Sunday, Nov. 25
At 4:38 a.m. the Fire Department responded to a reported house fire on Glenwood Road. Emergency response crews arrived at the scene to find heavy smoke coming from the home. The house was safely evacuated.
At 8:01 a.m. a caller reported items stolen from two motor vehicles on Osgood Street. The vehicles were unlocked.
At 9:02 a.m. a caller reported a breaking and entering into his motor vehicle on Bellevue Road.
At 9:23 a.m. a caller reported that her two motor vehicles were broken into the previous night and items were stolen.
At 12:47 p.m. a caller reported a 45-year-old man that fell about 20 feet form a zip line on Pine Tree Lane. An ambulance responded to the scene as well as two police officers.
