Pot Smoker Caught at La Quinta Bathroom

The police logs for Saturday, May 21, and Sunday, May 22, contained one arrest and several small incidents.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Saturday, May 21

  • At 10:51 a.m. fraud was reported on Post Office Avenue.
  • At 11:14 a.m. a down wire was reported on Linda Road. An officer reported that this was a cable wire.
  • At 11:18 p.m. a caller reported that two children were riding on the back of a motorcycle without helmets.  
  • At 3:53 p.m. a caller reported a single-car motor vehicle accident on Beacon Street.
  • At 6:49 p.m. a hit and run crash was reported on North Main Street.
  • At 10:19 p.m. a security guard at the La Quinta Inn reportedly caught a teenager smoking marijuana in a bathroom at the hotel. The marijuana was destroyed.
  • At 11:27 p.m. a caller reported that her mailbox was knocked over on Cross Street.

Sunday, May 22

  • At 11:33 a.m. a caller reported that a baby fisher cat was on her back deck on Cloverfield Drive and may be sick. The animal control officer took the animal to the Andover Animal Hospital.
  • At 12:13 p.m. an officer reported that a stop sign at Dascomb Road and Andover Street was knocked down.
  • At 1:33 p.m. vandalism was reported on Greenwood Road. A mailbox was vandalized.
  • At 3:32 p.m. credit card fraud was reported on Dale Street.
