Public Sex Reported in West Parish Cemetery

The police logs for Thursday, May 26, contained two arrests and several small incidents.

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

At 7:33 a.m. a minor motor vehicle accident was reported in front of Baron’s on Lowell Street. No injuries were reported.

At 9:54 a.m. police arrested Barry Santini, 59, of 207 Bishop Forest, Waltham, on Tewksbury Street. Santini was charged with leaving the scene of property damage and operating under the influence of liquor, second offense.

At 11 a.m. a caller reported a suspicious person walking around on lawns in the neighborhood on Lansbury Lane. The individual turned out to be from pest control and was authorized to be in those yards.

At 11:10 a.m. a caller reported loud explosions or fireworks on Mohawk Road. Police found no signs of either.

At 6:37 p.m. a caller reported two kids having sex in the cemetery on Reservation Road near the entrance from Route 133. Police could not locate the individuals.

At 8:19 p.m. police chased an individual on a motorcycle that was being pulled over for speeding but was not stopping. Police eventually caught the subject near Lawrence. Police arrested Timothy J. Herman, 29, of 40 Lisa Lane, Lawrence, on Union Street. Herman was arrested for speeding and failure to stop for police.
